We promised - we've delivered

Last year Belarus applied for 2013 IIHF World Championship. Although we didnt succeed in our bid, we carefully fulfilled everything that was planned.

The 7000-seat Bobruisk arena that was proposed as the second venue for 2013 IIHF World Championship was opened in JUne, 2008 and has already hosted numerous events.

The Republic of Belarus has so far not had the opportunity to show its beauty to the whole hockey world; however reactions from visitors have consistently been very positive. Allocating the IIHF World Championship to Belarus, the only nation in the top ten to never host the event would not only pay tribute to the achievements of our young nation, but also secure the continuing growth of ice hockey in our country.
